MAARIF Institute for Culture and Humanity invites you to join "MAARIF Institute Associate Researchers (MIAR)".

MAARIF Institute for Culture and Humanity is a non profit, non government organization that concern on Islamic, nation-state, and social-humanitarian issues. This organization was founded in 2003, in Jakarta, by Prof. Syafii Maarif, a prominent scholar and former President of Muhammadiyah central board. MAARIF Institute’s stakeholders are social and religious organizations from various faiths as well as many NGOs all over Indonesia.

MAARIF Institute Associate Researchers (MIAR) is a networking of intellectuals, researchers, activists, and graduate students from various academic backgrounds who engage in research and development of Islamic, social-humanitarian and cultural discourses, especially but not limited to those related to Indonesian contexts.

Associate Researcher is one supporting element to pursue MAARIF Institute’s mission. MIAR held a strategic role in improving the organization’s quality and capacity as well as expanding the organization’s domestic and international networks MAARIF Institute will support MIAR personnel during their research in Indonesia, especially Jakarta, by providing facilities such as an office space, internet connection, and local phone call. The MIAR personnel can also utilize MAARIF Institute’s organizational network for their research advantage.

We strongly hope that MIAR can strengthen the development of sciences for humanity and justice.
